Heater Delete Plate - F100 - Black

Heater Delete Block-Off Plate for the F100!

This Block Off Plate will fit the 1967-1972 Mustang (possibly other years and models too) and it is designed to cover the holes in the firewall where the heater motor and coolant lines passed through.

The Plate is made from 6061 Aluminum and is powder coated black for a stealth, long lasting look.  The kit also includes the hardware needed to secure the Plate to the firewall, and a gasket to help keep heat and debris from entering into the passenger compartment.

When deleting the heater core from the F100, there is a hole in the firewall where the heater bypass cable passes through.  A black plug is provided with this kit.

Installation Instructions:  This plate can be easily installed solo. First remove the adhesive backing and route the foam insulation along the edge of the plate.  Next, use Blue Loctite at the base of the threads of the three bolts (do not apply Loctite to whole bolt shank, just the bottom of the threads near the head of the bolt) to secure the bolts to the plate with 5-6 ftlbs (60-72 inch lbs) of torque.  Then place the plate behind the firewall insulation with the bolts sticking through the firewall to the engine side.  Lastly, install the lock nuts onto the bolts to 5-6 ftlbs and you're done.  If you've got help, you can skip the Loctite part if desired.

What you get:  One powder coated 6061 aluminum plate, three bolts and three nuts to secure the plate, and a adhesive-backed gasket that you will apply before installation into your vehicle.  You also get a plug for the hole where the heater bypass cable was routed through the firewall.
